Exploring Nature Through Science as an ESRM Student at CSUCI

“Nature is where I find both peace and purpose.”
Working as a Pharmacy Technician for over 10 years has left me with a complex appreciation for healthcare and an overall deep compassion for our communities. I’ve headed property restoration billing, helping homeowners recover their losses. I’ve also partaken in conservation-focused youth outdoor education with our local zoos. With a background of serving my community during times of distress, I plan to dedicate my time to finding innovative solutions to preserve and protect our land and seas, since our environment ultimately dictates the quality of our health and the way in which we live.
Native Conservation
My work and research are driven by a strong commitment to
native species conservation and ecosystem resilience.

My name is Kalani Wagoner.
I’m an all-around nature enthusiast, passionately applying the skills I’ve gained through studying wildlife biology, plant ecology, and ecosystem restoration at CSU Channel Islands in Southern California to my everyday life.
